Julie Cannon uses her insider's knowledge of corporate America to bring us two powerful business women, each at the top of her game.  Victoria Sosa is the CEO of Drake Pharmaceuticals.  A former Olympic Gold Medalist, Victoria brings a strong work ethic as well as a concern for "the rest of the team", the employees and those who use her company's products.   Tate Monroe is much younger than Victoria, and her polar opposite.  Brash and from the wrong side of the tracts, Tate is in line to be the next CEO of Sumner Enterprises, a company known for its corporate raids and underhanded tactics.  What Tate didn't count on is what happens when she literally runs into Victoria Sosa, a major adversary. Tate and Victoria are both using every technique they have to persuade Peter Braxton to sell his company.  Their battle takes them across the U.S., to Europe and to Asia.  As they travel and maneuver, the sexual tension between Tate and Victoria grows along with the tense demands from each of their companies.  Cannon gives her readers a high stakes game full of passion, humor, and incredible sex.   _____

Julie Cannon's novels just keep getting better and better. Her characters, both principal and secondary, are richly drawn with depth of background and motivations. in Just Business, real estate tycoon Dillon Matthews is trying to close the deal on the last piece of property she needs for The Gateway Project. Unfortunately, the seller wants to get to know Dillon as a person, rather than simply "the buyer."

Callie Sheffield is trying to get her brother out of prison. He's been unjustly convicted of murder, and he's her only family. Callie's life consists of work in a flower shop and visits with her brother.

Cannon takes Dillon and Callie on a wonderful roller coaster of a ride complete with physical and emotional highs and lows. This is a delightful tale which completely engages the reader. It's a must read romance.

A tsunami in Thailand literally throws together Hayden and Emily, two women from very different worlds. Hayden, a U.S. Army Colonel, has made the Army her life. Emily, a teacher of migrant children, has strong anti-war, anti-military feelings. The upheaval around them is mirrored by the inner turmoil these two women create in each other.

Cannon brings her readers a gripping scene as she explores the devastation of a tsunami through the eyes of her two characters. She then explores the emotional terrain of these two strong women, who become pawns of a military bureaucracy desperate to show the world genuine heroes.

Cannon has given her readers a novel rich in plot and rich in character development. Her vivid scenes touch our imaginations as her hot sex scenes touch us in many other areas. Uncharted Passage is a great read.

Julie Cannon has given her readers a very modern romance set in the beach city of La Jolla, Ca. Detective Kyle Bain lost her identical twin sister a year ago. Allie died of a brain aneurysm after giving birth to a baby girl. Her death left Kyle with a child to raise, and feeling as though a part of her own body had been ripped away. Since Allie's death, Kyle has devoted herself to her work and her daughter.

Lane Conner almost died a year ago when she contracted a virus which attacked her heart. While she was receiving a heart transplant, her lover of eight years moved out of their house, taking all of the furniture with her. Lane has spent the year regaining her strength and running her popular restaurant.

Lane and Kyle tentatively begin dating, each taking baby steps as they explore their mutual attraction. Kyle is afraid that she comes with too much baggage, and Lane feels physically and emotionally scarred by her experience. As their relationship develops, they find pleasure in each others minds, humor, and bodies.

Heart 2 Heart has many hot, intense sex scenes; Lane and Kyle sizzle across the pages. It also explores the world of a homicide detective and other very real issues. Cannon has given her readers a read that's fun as well as meaty.

Drop 10 fun-seeking lesbians onto a working ranch run by a butch mourning the loss of her lover, and you'd expect much randy action to follow. But the focus of this fluid romance is primarily on just two women. One is Shivley McCoy, who was able to create her working-vacation getaway spread with money willed to her by her late mate; the other is Rachel Stanton, a political strategist-for-hire stressed by too many mudslinging campaigns. There's nothing coy about the passion of these unalike dykes – it ignites at first encounter, and never abates. The main impediment to their mutual physical and emotional fulfillment is rooted in Shivley's guilt: turns out she cared deeply for her dying partner, but wasn't really in love with her, and is wary of another romantic entanglement that might peter out. Cannon's well-constructed novel conveys more complexity of character and less overwrought melodrama than most stories in the crowded genre of lesbian-love-against-all-odds – a definite plus.

Heartland has two well-drawn, completely different women as its protagonists. Rachel Stanton is a political strategist who feels as though she has gone from strategist to spin doctor. A graduate of the foster child system, her adult life and connections are as transitory as her childhood.

Shivley McCoy runs a dude ranch in Northern Arizona. She is a widow, having lost her partner of four years to cancer. The ranch, its horses, and its work, provide all she needs in life.

Rachel and Shivley meet when Rachel books a vacation at Springdale, Shivley's ranch. Actually, they practically run into each other on a dirt road a few weeks before, but . . .that wasn't really meeting!

Julie Cannon has created a wonderful romance. Rachel and Shivley are believable, likeable, bright, and funny. The scenery of the ranch is beautifully described, down to the smells, work, and dust. This is an extremely engaging book, full of humor, drama, and some very hot, hot sex!
